Pushti Yoga

I had this discussion with Jagadguru Shree Vallabhacharya ji Maharajshree a few months back. JJ had this interesting idea of confluence of health + seva in a fashion that can gel completely well. The outcome could be what he called "Pushti Yoga".

There is an increasing trend of attending yoga sessions by the urban population in India and across the world. Yoga is one of the best ways to attain physical fitness. Along with body yoga also mobilizes the mental channels to be able to think pure and fresh.

Pushti as we all might be aware of a path which just believes in True Love to God. Pushtimargiyas does not accept any returns from "Thakurji" for their seva. The sheer "Anand" of having my lalaan enjoy seva at my place is the utmost fruit of Pushti marg.

So how about combing this two forms of natural, pure and godly technique.

His vision of Pushti Yoga was something like this. All the vaishnavs will come to attend this Pusti Yoga camp. They will be taught all the aasanas which are the yoga-aasanas. Along side there will be music and explanation which will be going on in parallel which will teach all this vaishnavs the basics of Pustimarg.

E.g Like when you are doing "shavasan" , imagine that you are along side "Shreeji bawa" in his "vraj mandal" and visualize you doing his seva and there are all the other vrajwasi's and Gop-Gopi's surrounding you. This will also be accompanied by a kirtan from "Aasta sakha". The experience just by the means of imagination is thrilling.

I thought by the means of this blog, I would share the views with fellow vaishnavs and also invite them for any suggestions and comments over this.

Jay Gokul Ke chand Ki.

Vallabh Peeda

In the last week, Mumbai witnessed events which should be viewed definitely with deep regrets among the Vaishnav community. Vallabhkul, who are descendents of Shree Mahaprabhuji had to resort to Hunger Strike. I had just heard unions doing hunger strike for their wage upgrades till now. I have never heard somebody going for hunger strike to save Haveli’s, Cultures and traditions.

Ghatkopar Haveli saw some of the worst times where the trustees tried to use all the heinous ways to charge the Guru’s of the Panchampeeth.

Just a very short overview of the whole incident which has continued from the last year, there was an out of court settlement done between trustees of the Ghatkopar Haveli and Pancham Peeth. This settlement was also unique in all ways. Pancham ghar agreed to give away all the wealth and richness of the 100 years old haveli with all its belonging in return for their very own Thakorji, Shree Navneetprabhu)

Despite this, there were allegations made against Goswami 108 Shree Raghunathji by the trustees. This led to an outburst among the vaishanavs who were already not happy with the decision of moving the Thakorji and the Vallabhkul from the Haveli. These trigged an outcry which resulted in the vaishanavs to lead to a hunger strike over the issue. The Vallabhkul joined the vaishanavs.

I am still to receive any more updates on this currently. However my heart could not wait writing this down and spreading this to the rest of vaishanavs. This is truly commendable and I am not sure where will this path take the trustees. Money is an important part in today’s commercial world and we all agree to that. However greed of money should not reach to an extent that it breaks all boundaries of right and wrong. I pray to beloved Gokulendu prabhu that everyone gets Sad-buddhi and so that the Vallabhkul is not stressed (“shrramit”).
